"One of a kind", Free Standing sculpture depicting the ferocious Lionfish.

Hand carved in hard rock Maple, the artist used photos of the lionfish
he had in his aquarium years ago as a reference for the piece.

The artist used orange, and red, with black staining for the eyes, outlining
the radiating fins, spines and color spots on the body.

Five coats of hand rubbed Tung Oil give the piece a beautiful luster.

A brass tube suspends this fish from the Alder base, also carved with anemones,
sea stars and other ocean crustaceans.

Ideal to display on a coffee table, end table or a pedestal.

Felt under the base prevents scratching of a surface.

The Lionfish is notorious for hanging head down in a cave,
coming out to strike passing prey.

The fish has become an invasive species in many ocean locations,
also a delicious food fish when caught.

This special rendition of a fabulous salt water fish gives the viewer
a sense of how powerful it is.

Seeing it from all sides shows the spectacular carving in the work.

All sculptures ship in a custom heavyweight box, wrapped in bubble pack
