This "One of a kind" Sea Otter sculpture was carved
from a solid Oak log. The artist used a dark staining,
 with highlights of silver on the body. White staining on the
face contrasted to the kelp displayed in green

This Sea Otter is holding tightly to the kelp,
which he may sleep in during the evening hours.

Otters tend to wrap themselves in kelp and also
hold paws at night to prevent them from
drifting away from the group, known as a raft.

The base, carved in Red Gum and Alder wood
has felt on the bottom, prevents scratching the
coffee or end table surface.

This piece measured approximately
24" long by 15" wide and 10" high.

It was purchased by a collector living in Morro Bay, California.

All sculptures ship in a custom heavyweight box, wrapped in bubble pack
and stretch wrap, surrounded by Styrofoam loose fill.
