This Sea Turtle sculpture, hand carved "in the round", utilizes Alder wood from the Pacific Northwest. This "One of a kind" piece measured approximately 30" long X 26" wide X 28 high", weighing in at 65 pounds. Suspended over the sea bed base by a 1" diameter brass tube, the sea turtle generates movement creating a dramatic scene of the ocean depth. Acrylic gold highlights Anemones, Sea Stars, various types of coral and Sea Worms, all hand carved into the base, with five coats of hand rubbed Tung Oil giving the entire piece a wonderful luster finish. Felt on the underside to prevent scratching of any surface This piece now resides in Maui, Hawaii. All sculptures ship in a custom heavyweight box, wrapped in bubble pack and stretch wrap, surrounded by Styrofoam loose fill.
