Free Standing Sperm Whale sculpture hand carved in Alder wood,
suspended on a brass tube rising from the base.

A special texture, created by the artist,
gives the whale a rugged ocean look.

Darkened with a torch, the artist uses gray and white
staining bringing depth and beautiful tones to the piece,
followed with a lacquer finish.

The artist also carved the small blow hole on the top of the whale,
a single hole unlike the double on humpback and other whales.

The whale body thickness measures about two inches with the flukes
fully carved to a width of nine and half inches. The length
is about thirty inches, overall height is fourteen inches.

The fifteen inch diameter base, carved in
Alder Wood, is finished in Tung Oil.

Felt on the base prevents scratching of a surface.

This piece is meant to be viewed from all angles,
sure to generate many comments and compliments.

All sculptures ship in a custom heavyweight box, wrapped in bubble pack
and stretch wrap, surrounded by Styrofoam loose fill.
